Problem : Your teacher has returned your document with “suggestions” (which are comments on the document) but you can’t see any of these comments.
Context : This happens with any non-Google Document , like a photo you have uploaded.
On a Google Document, you can see the suggestions straight in.
Solution :
1 - From a computer
When your document is opened from your Google Classroom assignment, you have a 3-dots column on the top right corner of the screen, next to the printer icon. If you click on it, you will have the option to “Open in a new window” :
Click on this option, and in the new window you’ll have your document WITH the suggestions :
2 - From the Classroom app on a phone (Android or Iphone)
Note : this method requires you to have the Google Drive app (free) installed on your phone. If you don't have it, you will still have the option to open the document in your web browser.
When you open your returned document, you should have approximately this screen :
Tap on the icon outlined in red (in the screenshot above) to open the document on Google Drive (app if you have it, else through your web browser).
On the new display, you can see the "boxes" on your document where the teacher has left a comment. Tap on one of these boxes to see the attached comment ; or tap on the Comment icon on top of the screen (outlined in red below) to see the list of all comments.
