This guide aims to help with uploading work (like a photo or other) from a smartphone on a Google Classroom assignment.
If necessary, guidance to upload (submit) work from a computer can be found in this video : https://youtu.be/9D50DBi1_x8
When the work you need to upload is on your phone, details would depend if you're using Google Classroom straight on your phone (and if you're using the app or the website) or if you're on a computer :
1. If working on Classroom from your phone
A. Using the Classroom app
When you are on your assignment, you have a section "Your Work" on the bottom of your screen that you can pull up, allowing to select "Add attachment":
Then, select "File" and then go to your camera folder (if you want to upload a photo you took) or any folder where your work currently is saved, and select the picture or file to upload it. Once done, don't forget to click on the "Mark as done" button to submit it to your teacher.
B. Using the website
First navigate to your assignment, and open it. Scroll down to the bottom, and you will have a frame titled "Your work" with a button "+ Add or create". Click on it, and then select "File" :
Then browse to your camera folder (if you want to upload a photo you took) or any folder where your work currently is saved, and select the picture or file to upload it. Once done, don't forget to click on the "Mark as done" button to submit it to your teacher.
2. If working on Classroom from a computer (because your phone doesn't have internet access, or any other reason) :
You first need to transfer the picture you took (or any document file) on the phone to your computer. How to do so may vary depending on your phone and computer, but most common ways would be to connect the phone by USB to your computer and copy the photo/document, or to self-email it from the phone (if it has Internet access) and access your mailbox from the computer to get it.
Once the picture is on your computer, take note of the folder where it is saved and go to Classroom. Open the assignment, and click on the "+ Add or Create" button, and then "File":
Browse to your folder and select the picture to upload. Don't forget to click on the "Mark as done" button to submit it to your teacher.
