Here are some little tips on how to keep safe with email activity.
- Regularly change your password
- Your password should be something SECURE. Below are things to avoid and things to include for your password:
- At least 8 characters
- Include a CAPITAL letter
- Include a Number
- Include a 'special character e.g. # ! @ - (You CANT use a special character when changing your Google Classroom password).
- Do not include your name or D.O.B
- NEVER TELL ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD
3. Check before opening an attachment within an email from a company/person that you don't know (or that you were not expecting)
7. If an email has been deemed 'unsafe' or 'fraudulent' by IT support or if you are receiving emails from someone who is sending upsetting content, follow these instructions:
- Open the suspicious email that you wish to block.
- In the top right, click More
.
- Click Block [sender].
Note: If you blocked someone by mistake, you can unblock them using the same steps.
